The Kidneys are two bean-shaped organs located towards the back of the abdominal cavity, just above your waist.
Kidneys are bigger than you think, they're the size of your fist. They have unique functions in maintaining our overall health and wellness.
Their functions can be Summarize into three points: removal, regulation and production.
1. Kidneys help to filter out blood and produce Urine as a waste product.
2. Kidneys help to regulate the balance of water, acids, phosphorus, potassium, salt and others.
3. Kidneys help to produce four hormones and a nutrient: EPO, Vitamin D, Calcitrol, Renin and Aldosterone.
While kidney diseases may occur due to various reasons, the most common reasons for a kidney ailment are:

Although kidney disease is loosely used to indicate any disorder with the kidney, there are specific term for different kidney ailment.
